With the investment of CSG Holding, the company was established in August, 2006. Located in Xiaoting Industrial Park in High-tech Zone, Yichang, it covers an area of 1,300 mu with the cumulative investment of 350 million RMB. It mainly produces high purity Polysilicon, high efficiency Silicon Wafer, Nano Fumed Silica, Ingot Casting Crucible, and Sapphire Substrate. Among them, high purity silicon material is an extremely important upstream product in the industry chain of silicon semiconductor components, and the major raw material for producing Silicon Polishing Wafer, Solar Cell, Computer Chip and other high purity silicon products, they are also the important cornerstone for developing information industry and new energy industry. After eight years of construction, operation and continuous technological transformation and upgrade, the company has formed a production capacity of 7,000 tons of high purity Polysilicon, 1000 megawatt of Silicon Wafer, 20,000 Quartz Crucible and 3,400 tons of Nano Fumed Silica per year by comprehensively using the end gas and residual liquid of polysilicon. Among them, the monthly output of high purity polysilicon has entered the top 10 in the world and its quality has reached electronic level 2 in the national standard. Through introducing internationally advanced 36 pairs of silicon rods CVD reactor, matched with the world’s biggest hydrochlorination furnace and differential pressure coupling rectification system in the world, they can highly efficiently and deeply recycle and utilize the byproducts. So, while substantially improving the product quality, they can greatly reduce the production cost. The technique and process have been up to internationally advanced standard. The company has therefore been in a leading position in China in this field, setting up an excellent model in technical innovation, energy conservation and consumption reduction. At present, Yichang CSG has already begun to bring the plan on 5000 tons Electronic Grade polysilicon project into effect, pressing ahead with potential tapping and expansion projects on existing devices, to reach an overall production capacity of 12,000 tons per year, expanding capacity of silicon wafer to 2GW and realizing over 3 billion RMB of industrial output. Yichang CSG is the first company who leads in realizing the full closed-loop production in China. By transforming the byproducts completely into high-tech products, the comprehensive recycling rate of various byproducts has reached 99.9%, making the company take the lead in realizing the goal of not producing pollution during the production, truly embody the concept of green environmental protection. The electric power, which is used by Yichang CSG, is supplied by the world’s biggest hydroelectric power plant, the Three Gorges Dam, this makes Yichang CSG become one of the few enterprises using renewable energy sources in polysilicon industry.
